If you are buying or selling ONLY use Danielle. Here is why. When we first met she came with a portfolio of how she and her team works, how they execute, toured my home, and gave some initial thoughts. I was skeptical about her process and if they really could do all they said. Well, she and her team were the best! They developed the plan from prepping my home, staging, showing the home, and final sale. They executed on time and target. She was good at negotiating a great price for my home and always pleasant with me and constantly reassuring me (I bugged her a lot out of my own angst). I always felt I was in good hands and didn't have to worry about anything. Danielle and her team were GREAT to work with and I would definitely use them again.

Josh Ortiz was great to work with! We initially started our home search in January 2020, working within a fairly strict budget and a number of expectations we hoped to meet. It was initially slow going due to low winter inventory, and then the pandemic hit. We pushed pause on the process and let Josh know, but he remained eager and ready to help us out once we felt confident enough to start looking again. Fast forward to June 2020; we found a single family home that we really liked, but were concerned it would be over our budget. Josh helped us make some strategic decisions and we moved quickly on an offer, coming in at a comfortable bid that Josh made sure the seller's agent took as serious. We ended up having our offer accepted on the first house we put an offer on, and without having to counter.

Throughout the search process and throughout closing, Josh was extremely responsive and available. He's a true professional and we'd recommend him as a buyer's agent to anyone looking for a home or condo within SF.

We have worked with Danielle and the Compass team three times now, on both the selling side (once) and buying side (twice), and could not recommend her and her team more highly. She is a consummate professional, extremely knowledgeable about the process and the market, easy to work with, helps with strategy (while always reminding that she doesn't have a crystal ball -- though sometimes she does seem to have a little magic...), and has a huge network of agents she knows, which helps to make interactions, and ultimately, transactions smooth and pleasant. She really helps you to feel good about each decision you make, because ultimately these big decisions require both research/data and guts/intuition. We have had experiences with other agents that weren't as thorough or engaged, and were left feeling either like we were doing all the work and things were moving way too slowly, or like we were just being pushed/rushed into a sale. Danielle and her team are the exact opposite. They do not overcommit and they make great partners in your search (or your sale); they prove time and again that they are working for you and have your best interests, your needs and wants, at heart. Our most recent time working with Danielle, and her colleague Dani LaNoire, was during Covid, and we accelerated our search for a vacation home in Sonoma County where we could retreat and be in nature. They were great about Covid practices, always wearing masks and bringing along extra gear for us, and following the protocols when we were viewing homes that made us feel safe all the way through the process. Everything takes a bit longer in the era of Covid, including real estate, but they held our hands along the way and never rushed us. In the end, we are in a property that we absolutely love, and we feel great about the entire transaction. You can't do better than that. Josh was the ideal buyer's agent to work with during our home purchase. This was our first time buying a home, and we needed to move at a fast pace with well-defined preferences and multiple logistical barriers to overcome specific to our move. Josh navigated these criteria seamlessly -- his wide network made it easy for us to schedule viewings on short notice, and his depth of knowledge about the city made it easy for us to find great picks to our taste. When we were constructing our offer, Josh guided us through the paperwork and all best practices. Josh was available when we needed him, highly knowledgeable, and very fun to work with.

Searching for a home in the middle of a pandemic when the inventory in the typically hot SF market is at an all-time low is an extremely daunting experience. It gets even worse when you consider that I was an out-of-state buyer. However, Josh was constantly on top of his game and managed the entire process from start to finish efficiently and enthusiastically. He scoured listings not even available on normal websites like Zillow to make sure we had a complete view of the market. Then, he was able to arrange in-person showings at a moment's notice due to his good relationships with the various listing agents. Throughout the search process, he was able to provide helpful local insight about the neighborhoods we were targeting and even gave us some fantastic food and drink recommendations. His responsiveness was second to none which allowed us to go from scouting the market to signing on a fantastic Marina condo in 2 WEEKS at a below list price! Further, as a part of Danielle's team, we felt completely supported by not only Josh, but also Danielle and her support staff. It's very reassuring to know that you have a whole team behind you rather than just one agent. I would highly recommend Josh and the entire team working with Danielle to any of my friends looking for a real estate agent.

Danielle is passionate about selling and knows the market better than most! It was a tough sell with my condo, especially as it went on the market just days before the lockdown commenced, but Danielle helped make it happen.

Danielle exceeded our expectations. She sold our home in Bernal Heights for more than expected and along with her team helped us purchase our dream home in our desired neighborhood, Noe Valley (which had multiple bids from potential buyers). On the listing side, there are plenty of agents who charge a lower commission. But our friends had worked with her before and we trusted their opinion that you get what you pay for. When we first talked, she emphasized negotiations. Other agents talked about marketing. Of course, marketing is important but for us, we wanted to know we had an expert negotiating the deal. Danielle is very knowledgable and a pleasure to work with, always calm and approachable. She had our back - from staging, marketing strategy, to selling our home. She made the process almost seamless. When it came to shopping for a home, we worked with Danielle and her team. It was obvious that they have deep connections with other agents. For sure, her network helped us get the home we wanted. It's a tough, frustrating market here in San Francisco but we felt taken care of at every step.
