The California Association of REALTORS® Housing Affordability Fund Mortgage Protection Program is offering a FREE mortgage protection program for first time buyers in San Francisco and all over California.

To qualify for the Mortgage Protection Program, applicants must:

  • Be a first-time home buyer – someone who has not owned property in the last 3 years (includes a co-buyer)
  • Close escrow on or before December 31, 2009
  • Use a California REALTOR® in the transaction
  • Purchase the property in California but preferably San Francisco! 😉
  • Be a W-2 employee (cannot be self-employed)

Additional program details and instructions are available at www.carhaf.org. We can help our San Francisco first time buyer clients with this program if they are interested. Whether your first home is a $750,000 single family home in Bernal Heights or a $900,000 Noe Valley condo, a little piece of mind is a good thing. Right?
