We've had plenty of downright cold weather here in San Francisco over the past couple of weeks. What better way to celebrate our Winter Weather Wonderland than at San Francisco's very own Snow Park? Who needs Tahoe? We don't! The city is having its very own Snow Day, SF-style, of course. Yes, sledding down the snow hill, the bouncy house, and the other festivities are for the kiddies but don't miss the chance to see our majestic City Hall surrounded by mounds of snow, sleds and gleeful children. Hey, where's the hot chocolate?
Head on down (BART and Muni are excellent choices) this weekend and join Mayor Ed Lee as he hosts the 4th Annual Snow Park at City Hall, located at the Joseph L. Alioto Performing Arts Piazza. The park is open from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm, Saturday December 14 & Sunday December 15th, 2013. The event is free and folks are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the San Francisco Food Bank as part of the Season of Giving.
The annual "Season of Giving" has started and the many local organizations that help San Franciscans and other organizations that are helping victims of by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines need donations. Donate, volunteer, spread the word about the Season of Giving.
