Happy Pride Month! Perspective matters. Look around the world, and it’s easy to see the dark side of things. But there’s also so much color, so much love and light, and so many things worth celebrating and fighting for. We’d love to celebrate with you!
First, last Saturday the 14th was San Francisco’s Juneteenth Freedom Celebration in the Fillmore, which last year drew over 25,000 to celebrate that freedom is not an individual privilege but a right for all. And always a work in progress. This year's event was another huge success.
The San Francisco Pride Parade & Celebration kicks off Friday, June 27th with the Trans March, Saturday, June 28th with Pink Saturday/Dyke March, with the parade starting 10am Sunday morning on Market Street at Embarcadero Plaza. Here’s more than a dozen Pride events happening all month.
Meanwhile, the city’s been getting a glow-up thanks to citizen action and groups like Streets For All SF (formerly KidSafeSF), plus its relentless gravity as a tech and cultural hub. Crime has hit a 23-year low, and office leasing has reached its highest level since before the pandemic. There’s a plan for ‘mini Vegas spheres’ on the waterfront, the Fisherman’s Wharf overhaul, the Clay Theater rehab and more, as new investment in SF is coming hot and heavy. We recently wrote about this turnaround on our blog.
We’re also feeling the vibe with women’s sports! Danielle just went to a great Bay FC match and is taking the twins to a Valkyries game soon. Rikki’s just opened in the Castro and we’re excited to check it out, being the city’s first women’s sports bar.
What are you excited about this month? We’d love to hear it.
As always, reach out with any real estate questions. We are happy to help you and anyone you send our way!
