From the home office to you, here's my latest San Francisco real estate video update!
Birthdays and New Years are arbitrary: You don't really FEEL one year older than the day before, but you are — at least on paper.
When the calendar flipped from 2020 to 2021, nothing magically changed. Among myriad problems plaguing our country, the COVID-19 pandemic raged just as furiously on January 1st as it had on December 31st. Yet there are glimmers of light.
San Francisco real estate took some hits last year due to the pandemic, most acutely in the condo market, but since March 2020 things have been picking up at record speed. In the month of December, pending sales more than DOUBLED year-over-year from December 2019.
Anecdotally speaking, things are continuing to pick up in San Francisco real estate. We're seeing multiple-buyer bidding wars like we did before COVID, even in condos. The green shoots of San Francisco's real estate recovery are continuing to grow.
As I always remind my clients, my readers (and myself), no one has a crystal ball to foretell the future of SF real estate. But as of now, all signs point to a landmark year.
Keep an eye on the blog to stay up to date, and of course feel free to reach out with any real estate-related questions! We're happy to help you and anyone you send our way.
