This weekend, the hills are alive with the sound of muuuusic ! One of those hills is Potrero Hill right here in San Francisco and the folks up there are throwing the 23rd Annual Potrero Hill Festival on Saturday, Oct 20, 2012 (appropriately named "Grazing the Hill" with a guitar-playing goat logo to match).
Start the day off with a fine New Orleans Cajun Jazz Brunch at the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House (did I read that correctly... Southern homefries and buttermilk gravy!). After you've eaten your weight in Andouille sausage, take a stroll along 20th Street for a special mix of Potrero's own music, art, food and much more. The Kids' Area includes a bouncy house, petting zoo, and performance stage. There will be several bands supplying live music and a DJ spinning your favorite dance grooves.
The festival, on 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri Streets, runs from 11:00 am -4:00 pm and benefits The Potrero Hill Neighborhood House (aka NABE). It's all ages, all dance levels and all kinds of fun!
The fun doesn't stop on Saturday in Potrero when the last food truck drives away. There is still the Bernal Heights Fiesta on the Hill and Sunday Streets In Outer Mission/Excelsior on Sunday. Rest up because it is going to be a busy weekend!
