Yes, after the last couple of weeks of hot weather throughout the Bay Area and even in San Francisco, we turn our attention to Outdoor Ice Rinks. Truth be told, we can no longer ignore the fact that the "Holiday Season" is upon us. Bundle up (that is, put on the same clothes you basically wear for most of the year anyway) and head out for some Hans-Brinker-and-the-Silver-Skates kind of fun at the following two spots in San Francisco:
Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Alaska Airlines
The rink is open:
10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Daily
The 90 minute sessions start on every other even hour.
Admission Prices:
Adult General Admission: $10.00
Children (Eight and Under): $6.00
Skate Rental: $5.00

This rink, also know as "San Francisco's Largest Premier Outdoor Ice Rink", is open:
Sunday through Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The 90 minute sessions start on every other even hour.

Monday – Friday until 6:00 p.m.
Adults $9.50
Seniors/Children ages 10 and under $6.00
Friday 6:00 p.m. session until closing on Sunday
Adults $10.00
Children ages 10 and under $6.50
