In other news, mortgage rates recently fell to their lowest level in over a year, and U.S. inflation fell below 3% for the first time since 2021, adding fuel to predictions of an interest rate cut by the Fed at its meeting next month.
Lowering rates could spark increased home buyer and seller activity, especially if rates continue to decline. We might see a relatively busy fall this year, in what tends to be the second-busiest season for home sales in the SF Bay Area.
