The Dogpatch Loft
Built in 1997 as one of San Francisco’s original live/work loft projects, 2011 Third Street is a loft condo building of 12 units located in the heart of the buzzing Central Waterfront/Dogpatch neighborhood.
2011 3rd Street #4 is a spacious loft offering 1 bedroom plus den and 2 full bathrooms as well as 2 private outdoor decks, 1-car parking, polished concrete floors, dramatic wall space and a unique split-level floor plan. Want sun and views? Enjoy the common area roof deck where your barbecue is welcomed!
The main level has an open floor plan with plenty of space for living, eating, playing and working. There is an open kitchen with granite counters and a gas range, a living room, a spacious mezzanine with direct access to one of the two private decks, a full bathroom, and blank canvas walls perfect for your art collection.
The master suite is on the lower level separated from above by a short standard staircase (no spirals here!). There is custom closet space, a full bathroom, an adjoining home office, and direct access to the second exclusive-use deck.
The location is awesome. Dogpatch and the Central Waterfront have so much going on! We don’t have enough room here to list all of the hip local restaurants and watering holes within walking distance. And besides Dogpatch, you’re an easy jaunt to South Beach, Potrero Hill, the Design District, the Cloud Corridor, and UCSF Mission Bay. Travel with ease: Muni light rail, freeways, and Caltrain. Like sports? You’ll be very popular on Giants (and Warriors?) game days.

Note From The Seller:
As a performance artist, I loved living in the Mission district–the artistic hub of the city. I relied on public transport which keeps the creative energy flowing. So we were pleased to move to the Central Waterfront, Dogpatch Area, right next to the Mission, closer to public transportation with the added bonus of privacy and parking…during the “dot com.” We were also pleased that we found a loft space that was inspired by the ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking.
Cozy yet spacious, we are happy with the energy bills, being financially conscious. For example, in the winter, living on the first level gives us lots of ‘layers’ with neighbors above for insulation and the best part is the coolness during the summer, when it is absolutely nice to have 2 decks of outdoor space.
The split levels allow for variety and much decor, so easy to keep clean with a contemporary yet livable space, mezzanine, office/bedroom, or dance/exercise studio…downstairs also has a spacious arrangement with full bath and a deck!
We will miss the common area roof deck! For a spectacular view of the Bay, Oakland, the Bay Bridge, the SF skyline, including the Mission, and the Blue Angels, go up during the day, sunset or anytime the fog is not too high, which is everyday as we have the best weather in SF! With our friendly yet hard working neighbors, we had even more privacy during those, deck moments…and if there was a party, you were always welcome since these are few and far between…have some fun!
We will miss you ‘Bagdad-by-the-bay’, to quote a famous Potrero Hill resident next-door, and now, we leave our hearts in your hands, Sharon & Todd.
